In celebration of Texas Independence Day we made some extremely yummy Cookie Monster cookies (thanks, Aislinn) and decorated them accordingly. Since we can't actually share the yummy cookies with y'all, we thought we would at least post some pictures, so you can see how creative and artistic we are...

they look beeeautiful! The pair of you did a great job on the cookies. love, Mom (and Dad too)xox
They look great! I take it y'all have a TX cookie cutter...or you're extremely talented at smushing cookie dough into a TX shape. I like the shade of blue you made the frosting. Also, you're very lucky, to have a hubby who's Texan, too, and is probably very enthusiastic about this stuff! Z wouldn't mind, I mean, come on, they're cookies! But he wouldn't be gung-ho...
(And, ERIN, I waited to comment for a long time so I wouldn't be first, but Mom still beat you...you had your chance! haha, just kidding! ;)
Those look soooo good! How fun, Liam and Brigit really wish you could share them, but the pictures are way better for them :0) Where did you find the Texas cookie cutter?
Thanks for trying to give me a shot(allegedly), Fiona. I appreciate it, just wait, one day I'll be the first.
Oooh...those look so yummy! How did you make the pretty icing? Fiona, you guys just need to move to TX. I've got Curtis well-converted to TX pride now that we've been here over 8 years. ;o)
I actually borrowed the cookie cutters from Sarah, but she just got them at a craft store in Texas...the icing is just powdered sugar, milk, and some vanilla...it was better than store bought frosting cause it wasn't as thick...glad to hear Curtis is converted to Texas!
Mmm, cookies...
