We had a great time with Patrick, Maire, Aine, Declan, and Rowan when they spent about a week with us over their Spring Break (Mar 17-21). Luckily, the weather was great ... so we were outdoors a good bit. We went to Cibolo Wilderness, the park, Inflatable Wonderland, and of course the Dollar Store (after they earned $2 each picking up sticks in the back yard, and keeping their stuff tidy...). We also went to the library for story hour on March 18. The lady asked if anyone could dance an Irish Jig (she was doing stories about Ireland...) ... P, M, and A raised their hands and were invited to dance, so they did, in their running shoes and jeans! Everyone was properly impressed! Here are some pictures of when the children were here.

Whew, I probably posted too many pictures ... esp of the garden, since they all look about the same. At least I did post!! {I hafta admit that it was with Gary's help... for which I am grateful.} We'll try to post more regularly ... maybe every 3 months instead of every 6 months... and then there won't need to be so many pictures, and it may be "easier."

Wow, finally a post on the Boerne Ricker blog! Very nice pictures, it looks like y'all had fun with the grandchildren. I can't believe how good the potatoes look...I hadn't realized that you'd planted that many. Hopefully you can enjoy the harvest this time instead of having them flooded away ;) And what lucky children to have such a willing and tireless 'horsey' to ride!
Wow...Amazing...I'm speechless...a post!!! okay, I'm not speechless :) I love the St. Patrick's Day pic, you all look so nice and green! I wore the same shirt you did, Mom! Not the SAME same one, but you know... Sure looks like the Mellor kids had a great Spring Break! That inflatables place looks cool, I might have to take N&B there! And the spuds look great, so green! I like how nice and cozy they look with all that free hay on them.
I can't believe how BIG Rowan is! Actually, in the first pic, as it was loading it obviously took a little longer to get to the bottom of the pic (Declan's and Rowan's legs) and I was in shock. I didn't know D was sitting on something and I thought little R was almost as tall as him! I'm glad he's not. But he's still so big! (Maybe if his mother posted more often, I wouldn't have been so shocked! ;) All the grandkids are so cute! And Uncle G, too, of course. What a good uncle :) As is Marcus...definitely good practice. Giving one little girl a horsey ride will be a breeze compared to three kids!
And YES, please post more often! I like seeing pictures!!! The more you post the easier it will be... (that was said in a very "Mom" voice... ;)
Wow Mom, Nice post! I love all the green in the St. Patrick's Day picture :0) The children sure look like they're having a lot of fun! I'll have to take L,B, & C to that inflatables place too. Liam loved the cars one. The grandchildren are all so big and beautiful! I can hardly believe little Rowan with his hair! The spuds look great, Mom, you've been taking good care of them. Try not to drown them this time, haha! Good ole' Marcus, he's an old pro with kids already. Wow, what fun times in Texas, can't wait to get there :0)
I was so pleased to see a new post. Usually I click on the link and then ready to click on the next one thinking there won't be anything new, but you fooled me this time. I love seeing new pics of your family and growing things. We aren't sure we're done with snow yet, so no planting happening just now but hopefully soon. I believe there are never too many pictures on a post. Thanks for sharing it keeps me connected.
